With over 20 years in the apparel industry, I set out to develop a company that would redefine sustainable fashion, blending quality, innovation, and ethical responsibility.
Overcoming Challenges: From Pandemic Struggles to Industry Leadership
Starting a company is never easy, but TY Fashion’s journey was met with exceptional hurdles. Just two years in, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted everything—supply chains collapsed, factories shut down, and orders disappeared. Some industry peers even doubted our survival. Instead of backing down, I took a bold step forward. I saw a growing demand for eco-friendly fashion and pivoted towards developing regenerative, sustainable swimwear.
However, breaking into this niche was an uphill battle. Traditional suppliers who once supported me turned away, unwilling to accommodate low MOQ orders. Just when things seemed bleak, I met a fabric supplier who had faced similar struggles. We shared the same vision of sustainability and innovation, and together, we developed high-quality, textured, and recycled swimwear fabrics like REPREVE, setting a new standard in the industry. Today, this supplier is a global leader, and TY Fashion is at the forefront of sustainable swimwear manufacturing.
Expanding into Natural Fiber & Traceable Luxury Fashion
Recognizing the need for sustainable luxury fashion, in 2021, I expanded TY Fashion’s expertise into natural fiber apparel. We introduced organic cotton denim, linen, hemp, and silk fashion collections, earning recognition from premium brands seeking traceable, ethical materials. Transparency became a core value—ensuring that every fabric we use is responsibly sourced and fully traceable, aligning with the global push for ethical supply chains.
